A Trip Down Memory Lane

The history of Daneels Media Group goes a long way back, the name 'Daneels' has been active since 1906. In this year Josephus Daneels settles in the centre of Beerse. Here he starts a printing company for occasional print products, together with a paper trade shop.

What at that time started as an 'in-house printing company’ was taken over in 1946 by Josephus Daneels' son, Jan Daneels. Assisted by his four sisters, Jan starts an advertisement magazine for the local middle class. With these first steps towards commercial printing, the printing company at that time, located in a room of the house, soon became too small. Out of necessity an extension was realised.

When Jan Daneels dies in 1960, his nephew Jozef Daneels - father of Kris Daneels - takes over the printing company and paper trade shop. In the early ‘70s, Jozef invests in a 4-colour offset press and in 1975 the printing company moves from the centre of Beerse to a new building surrounded by nature. Today, the printing company is still located in the exact same spot. Customers can come to us for all aspects of print production; from design to production; and from finishing to distribution.
